Viewing the legal services register (Rechtsdienstleistungsregister)
The legal services register (Rechtsdienstleistungsregister) is a public electronic register. Persons registered in the legal services register are permitted to offer
- collection services,
- pension advice and/or
- legal services under foreign law.
The legal services register enables you to
- search for legal service providers (e.g. close to where you live)
- check whether and to what extent specific legal service providers are permitted to render this service commercially
- find out who is prohibited from rendering legal services although they may generally be able to render them without being registered
If it becomes known that unqualified legal services are being offered on a permanent basis, such a prohibition may protect persons seeking legal services.
