E-bikes - apply for funding
Funding is available for the purchase or leasing of certain electric cargo bikes and trailers.
You buy or lease a new electric cargo bike in EC vehicle classes L1e to L5e or an electric cargo bike with a maximum speed of up to 25 km/h for transporting goods, materials or people or a new electric cargo trailer for bicycles
You will receive a subsidy based proportionally on the amount of the purchase costs. The subsidy amounts to 25 % of the eligible acquisition costs, up to a maximum of € 2,500
- Only the expenses for the standard model are subsidised.
You do not order, buy or lease the electric cargo bike or the electric cargo trailer until you have submitted the application for funding.

Details
Prerequisite
- You are a company, freelancer, legal entity under private law, non-profit organisation or local authority based in Baden-Württemberg.
- You use the electric cargo bike for commercial, non-profit, community or municipal use in Baden-Württemberg.
- The bikes must be in use in Baden-Württemberg for at least 3 years, in the case of leasing for the entire leasing period (maximum 3 years).
E-load bikes are standard designed bikes with fixed transport facilities (box, flatbed).
Standard pedelecs with attached saddlebags, for example, are not e-load bikes.
Electric cargo bikes that are used exclusively for private purposes are not eligible for funding.
Procedure
You must complete a separate application for each vehicle.
You can apply for funding online on the L-Bank website.
Your application will then be reviewed by the L-Bank and you will receive a decision if it is approved.
Leasing
You can receive half of the approved grant after the grant decision has taken effect. Use the funding request form provided online and send it together with the leasing contract to the e-mail address elektromobilitaet@l-bank.de.
After expiry of the leasing contract term, at the latest after three years, you must send the proof of use with the corresponding proofs of payment to the L-Bank. Use the online proof of use form for this purpose.
Once the proof of use has been checked, you will receive the remaining funding.
Purchase
The grant will be paid out in one sum after submission of the proof of use as well as the purchase contract and proof of payment for the subsidised electric cargo bike. For this purpose, the proof of use form provided online must be used and submitted electronically at the e-mail address elektromobilitaet@l-bank.de .
De-Minimis
This grant is a de minimis grant. Please enclose the online de minimis declaration with each application.
