Gasthof zur Krone

Originally two close-standing timbered houses, the former tavern the “Herberge zur Krone” at N° 22, lay to the north of the Old Town Hall. Also built in 1749, The Thurn and Taxis post office, stood there too. King Ludwig I. of Bavaria (1846) and Emperor Wilhelm I. (1859) amongst others are said to have stayed overnight at the “Krone”.
