St. Paul’s church

Pauluskirche

Returning via Marienstrasse to Brenzstrasse, we follow the road between the “Poseidon” restaurant and the senior citizens’ centre, which leads to the town hall and St. Paul’s church close by. Constructed according to the plans of the Royal Town Planner, Felix von Berner, and inaugurated in 1898, this fine church, built in the neo-Gothic style is an excellent example of historic reconstruction. The tympanum relief above the main portal, made by the German artist Hermann Lang, deserves mention.
