Heidenheim is directly connected to the German motorway No. A7 (Flensburg – Hamburg – Hannover – Würzburg – Ulm – Füssen) and to the A8 (Munich – Stuttgart) via the motorway junction Ulm.

In Heidenheim there is an interchange between the main roads  B19 (Würzburg – Aalen – Heidenheim –Ulm) and B466 (Stuttgart – Göppingen – Heidenheim – Nördlingen – Nürnberg)

It`s easy to reach the railway stations for both intercity express (ICE in Ulm) and InterRegio (Aalen).

Since May 2003 the central bus station has been opened for the local public transport. The intelligent local transport concept provides for comfort and mobility.
